UNPACKING AND CHECKING THE EQUIPMENR
a . R e m o v e a n y m e t a l s t r a p p i n g , p l y w o o d , t a p e s , s e a l s , wrapping paper or any
other shipping and protective items.
WARNING
D r y cleaning solvent (PD-680) is both toxic and
flammable.
Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors. Avoid
skin contact. Use only in a well ventilated area.
Keep away from open flame.
Flash point of solvent is
1 3 8 F (59C).
If any exterior parts are coated with rust preventive compound, remove it

R e a d and follow all instructions contained in DD Form 1397, which is attached
to a conspicuous part of the semitrailer.
Inspect equipment for damage incurred during shipping.

I f equipment has been
damaged, report the damage on DD Form 6, P a c k i n g Improvement Report.
e . C h e c k the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is
complete.
R e p o r t all discrepancies in accordance with DA Pam 738-750.

SERVICING THE EQUIPMENT
a . Perform the preventive maintenance checks and services contained in tables 2-1
and 4-1.
b . Lubricate all points as shown in the lubrication chart (figure 3-1),
regardless of interval.
