NOTE
Be alert for any unusual noises that may indicate
damage or looseness in springs.
a. Perform road test. Give special attention to items that were re-
paired or adjusted. Be alert for unusual or excessive noises that
may indicate damage, looseness, defects, or deficient lubrica-
tion in attachments or wheels.
WARNING
Cautiously feeI each wheel hub and brakedrum. Seri-
ous burns can result from touching an overheated
brakedrum.
b. After road test, cautiously feel wheel hubs and brakedrums for ex-
cess heat. An overheated wheel hub and brakedrum indicate an
improperly adjusted or defective brake, or a dry wheel bearing.
