20. EXCESSIVE BURNED POWER GAS COMES OUT OF BREECH AFTER FIRING
WARNING
At first sight of propellant gas in crew corn-
partment, breechblock obturator pad re-
quires shim adjustment. Continued firing may
cause injury to personnel.
Step 1. Check breech block obturator for proper adjustment or damage
a. If obturator is not seating properly, install preliminary shims as

b. If obturator will not seat properly after shimming, notify
organizational maintenance.
