Follow these precautions when contour sawing:
(1) Use Job Selector recommendations for band
selection, band speed, feed pressure, and coolant
application type.
(2) Reduce initial feed force to prevent blade damage
when it suddenly enters an opening. Any band
twisting or bowing means work is being fed too
rapidly.
A hole is usually drilled in the workpiece when a sharp
corner is to be cut. A corner can also be by-passed with
a curve cut, leaving the remainder to be notched out
