b. Inspection/Testing
(1) Check heater elements for damaged teminal threads and cracked or deformed outside covering. Replace
if damaged.
(2) Using a Multimeter set on lowest OHMS scale, check for continuity between the two terminal studs. Re-
place heater if no continuity is indicated.
Installation
c.
(1) Insert heater element into lower mounting clip.
(2) Using screwdriver, secure top of heater with retainer channel by tightening the two captive panel fasteners.
(3) See tag and wiring diagram (Figure 4-20) and connect wire leads.
(4) Remove tags.
(5) Carefully tie wires so that they cannot contact heaters.
Install mist eliminator. (See para 4-33.)
