GENERAL.
a.
Common Tools and Equipment. For authorized common tools and equipment, refer to the Modified Table
of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) applicable to your unit.
b.
Special Tools and Support Equipment. No special tools are required for maintenance of the equipment.
Support equipment includes standard equipment found in any unit maintenance shop. Appendix B, Section
Ill contains a list of the tools.
c.
Repair Parts. Repair parts listed and illustrated in the Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL) in
Appendix C of this manual cover unit, direct support, and general support maintenance.

4-2. INSTALLATION SITE PREPARATION. This unit is designed so that It is adaptable to a variety of Installation
arrangements. Most typical installations are made by preparing an opening in an exterior wall of the enclosure to be
conditioned and positioning the unit so that the ducting is inside the enclosure and the unit is mounted on the outside wall
in a vertical position. The following are minimum requirements for all installations.
a.
Flat Surface. A relatively flat surface capable of bearing unit weight and size. See Figure 4-1.
b.
Air Flow. An unobstructed flow of air from outside the conditioned area to Inside the enclosure. No
obstruction should be within 18 Inches (45.72 centimeters) of any opening on the unit.
