c. Replace.
(1) Disconnect wiring harness from connector (6).
(2) Remove refrigerant desiccant dehydrator. (See paragraph 5-22.)
( 3 ) Purge refrigerant system. (See paragraph 5-13.)
( 4 ) Debraze compressor tubes. (See paragraph 5-14.)
To avoid injury to personnel, two people are required to lift unit.
Do not lay unit on side to access bottom, compressor damage can result from oil
being displaced.
( 5 ) Lift and support air conditioner to gain access to underside of housing.
( 6 ) Remove four screws (1), nuts (2), flat washers (3), eight flat washers (4), and four shouldered
washers (5).
