1. Start and run engine at 1000 to 1200 rpm (high idle)
NOTE: Some vehicles can't be started with link
on regulator adapter open. If yours is
this type, start the engine with the
link closed. After engine is started,
open link
2. When engine is running smoothly, voltmeter
needle
should rest between 27.0 and 28.5 volts depending
on the vehicle regulator specification
