4-17. AXLE REPLACEMENT.
NOTE
Apply antiseizing tape to male threads of air hose assembly.

Connect hydraulic hose assembly (1) to axle tee (3) on M1 97A1 and M1 98A1. Connect air hose assembly (4) to
each airbrake chamber (5) on M197 and M198.
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
Install wheel and tire assemblies (para 4-38).
Adjust radius rods (M197A1 and M198A1) (para 4-51).
Bleed brakes (M197A1 and M198A1) (para 4-24).
