1. Brakedrum (1)
Using inside micrometer, check for out-of-
round or tapered condition.
Maximum out-of-round is 0.010 Inch
(0.254 millimeter), maximum taper Is
0.0004 inch (0.0102 millimeter).
REPAIR
2. Brakedrum (1)
Using brake lathe, reface braking surface
to remove all cracks, heat checking, and
scoring.
Remove a maximum of 0.010 Inch
(0.254 millimeter) per cut. Discard
drums with edge cracks or If inside
diameter exceeds 16.630 inches
(42.24 centimeters).
