WARNING
Overheated brake drums and hubs can cause severe burns if
not touched carefully.

Check brake drums and hubs immediately after road test;

cautiously feel brake drums and hubs.
NOTE
An overheated wheel hub and brake drum indicates an
improperly adjusted or defective brake or dry wheel
bearing. An abnormally cool condition indicates an
inoperative brake.

Be alert during road tests for any unusual noises that

may indicate damage or looseness in springs.

inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.

inspections and corrective actions. If a malfunction is not listed, or it is not
corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
