Crank Removal.

T h e s e m i t r a i l e r f r a m e m u s t b e f i r m l y s u p p o r t e d to
prevent shifting of the semitrailer. Shifting may
c a u s e serious injury to personnel and damage to
equipment.
(1) B l o c k s e m i t r a i l e r o n j a c k s t a n d s .
(2) B l o c k w h e e l s w i t h c h o c k b l o c k s t o p r e v e n t m o v e m e n t o f s e m i t r a i l e r .
(3) L o w e r l a n d i n g l e g s f o r g r e a t e r s t a b i l i t y .
(4) R e m o v e f l o a t p a d f r o m b r a c k e t f o r e a s i e r a c c e s s t o l a n d i n g l e g .
(5) Remove nut (1, figure 4-42), washers (2) and bolt (3).
( 6 ) R e m o v e crank (4).

Gear Box Removal.
(1) Remove n u t ( 6 , f i g u r e 4 - 4 3 ) , w a s h e r ( 7 ) a n d b o l t ( 8 ) f r o m c o u p l i n g .
(2) Remove f o u r n u t s ( 1 ) , e i g h t w a s h e r s ( 2 ) a n d f o u r b o l t s ( 3 ) .
(3) Remove g e a r b o x ( 4 ) f r o m l e g ( 5 ) . I f r e q u i r e d , r e m o v e a d d i t i o n a l n u t ( 6 ) ,
washer ( 7 ) a n d b o l t ( 8 ) t o r e m o v e c o u p l i n g .
