Equipment Condition
Gooseneck lowered to lowest position, if uncoupled (para. 2-18)
NOTE
A second person must be used to hold locknut on curbside of gooseneck while
removing the streetside locknut, cover, and pulley to prevent the threaded rod
from turning in the pivot pin assembly.
REMOVAL
1.
Remove locknut (1), cover (2), and pulley (3) from pivot pin assembly (4). Discard locknut.
2.
Remove lubrication fitting (5) from pulley (3).
INSPECTION
WARNING
Cleaning compound solvent is used to clean parts and is potentially dangerous to
personnel. Extinguish all smoking materials and do not allow sparks or open
flame near the work area. Use skin and eye protection and work in a well-
ventilated area.
