WARNING
Wear rubber gloves to prevent acid burns when handling sludge
from a burned out compressor.

After removal of compressor from the unit, burnout can be confirmed by tipping
the compressor toward the discharge port and drawing a small quantity of oil into a clear glass
container. If the oil is black, contains sludge, and has a sharp acid odor, the motor is burned
out.
