disconnect power cord to air conditioner
Insulation (TM9-4120-398-24P)
before performing any internal
Cleaning cloths (Item 12 Appendix E)
maintenance. Shutting unit off at its
control panel does not disconnect
unit power.
Dry cleaning solvent (Federal Specification
P-D-680) used to clean parts is potentially
dangerous to personnel and property.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat.
Flash point of solvent is 100F to 138F
(38 C to 59 C).
a. Removal.
(1) Remove 22 screws (1).
(2) Remove adapter (2).
b. Repair.
(1) Repair by straightening bends and dents. Replace if necessary.
