INTRODUCTION
1-1. SCOPE. This section contains information on the physical description, function and capabilities of the
Engine Transport Stand, Ordnance part number 8708857.
1-2. PURPOSE AND FUNCTION. The Engine Transport Stand is designed to provide shop transportation during
overhaul and repair activities. It is capable of supporting a variety of aircraft engines by means of adjustable
support assemblies.
1-3. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS. Weight, dimensions and other relevent characteristics are specified in
table 1-1 below.

1-4. STORAGE AND TOOLS. The Engine Transport Stand is a rugged piece of shop equipment and requires no
special storage condition. Adjustments and/or maintenance can be accomplished using standard mechanics
tools.
