Solvent drycleaning PD-680
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent PD-680 is both toxic and flamma-
ble. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors and avoid
skin contact. Do not use near open flame or excessive
heat. Flash point of solvent is 138F (59C).
Brake linings contain asbestos fibers. Protective
mask must be worn while performing this task. Failure
to do so could result in serious injury to personnel.
When brake linings are worn to within 0.030 inch
(0.762 mm) of the rivets, they must be replaced.
Failure to do so could result in injury or death to
personnel.
NOTE
There are eight brakeshoes on the semitrailer. This
procedure is for one. Repeat this procedure for the
others.
